Operatives from the Podillia and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Border Guard Detachments thwarted the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border.

On the transit section of the "Maiaky – Udobne" road, they stopped a cargo truck and a passenger vehicle driven by residents of the Bolhrad District in the Odesa Region. Upon inspecting the truck's trailer, they discovered six Ukrainian citizens.

It turned out that these individuals, who are subject to conscription, had decided to illegally enter Moldova. To carry out their plan, they turned to so-called "transporters," finding them through a closed Telegram channel. The evaders were instructed to come to Odesa, where they were met and concealed in the trailer of the cargo vehicle. The organizer provided escort in a passenger car.

Despite the discomfort of the journey, the final cost of the border crossing was expected to range from 4,000 to 5,000 US dollars per person.

National Police have been notified, and a criminal case has been opened. Protocols for administrative offenses have been drawn up against those who attempted to illegally enter Moldova.
